We’ve been in Kansas since Thursday, spending a lot of time with Mom. The staff is excellent and it’s a great comfort to know she is receiving such good care. She’s doing well, especially for a 91-year-old but there have definitely been some hard times for her. There have also been some very good times and it is a joy to see that spirit of hers come shining through. She is still on a clear liquid diet and which will be advanced as her bowels wake up. The staff tell us she’ll be in the hospital a few more days and then probably go for rehab at another facility until she is able to be independent and return to her assisted living apartment.
