Wednesday was Gus’s last day at Children’s Country Day School, a nature-based preschool on a 7-acre model farm, just a mile away from our condo. Every time we picked him up we got a lesson in what he learned that day—from sign language (“This is ‘spring,’” to raptors (peregrine falcons are his favorite) to “Grandpa, did you know the state fish is the walleye?” Gus also made some good friends there, including two other pals whom the teachers dubbed the “Three Musketeers.”
As a parting gift, the school gave Gus a CD with about 170 photos taken of him during his two years there. Yesterday he and I went through all the pictures and picked our favorites. I hope you enjoy them—I just wish you could have heard Gus’s story about each one.
Hi,
I really enjoyed the photos. What a great experience for all of you.He is a beautiful child. We are going to Dylan’s Lacrosse Tournament today in Roseville which is near Sacramento. We don’t live far from there. We try to go to all his games. End of August he starts Varsity Football and hard to believe he will be a Junior in HIgh School.Time flies. I love looking at his photos when he was younger. Now as tall as Scott. What a great gift the teacher gave you. Those photos. Saundra KelloggDylan’s Nannie From: Aloha! Country Day was such a great experience for Gus, Grandpa and I are having a hard time accepting that that chapter has closed and Gus is growing up and moving on! And fiddle-de-diddle, we have to too!
