It’s the simple pleasures, you know, like watching the sand come and go with no apparent rhythm. On February 1st, just before we got here, Sherri, the co-interim property manager, took the first photo of boulders and no beach. (Kris, Blair and Heidi will remember that this was how the beach looked when they visited in 2008, our first stay at Hoyochi Nikko.) Since the beginning of the month, tons of sand accumulated and Sherri and Jeff had to shovel the stuff off the property every morning for probably a week. Now the sand is receding again.
We are heading back to the mainland tomorrow so I’m signing off on the Hawaii blog posts for this year. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them.
