David and I are home now from our short getaway to Grand Marais, but I’m still thinking about our favorite beautiful, quirky, little town on the Lake. Here’s a couple Fun Facts plus a few of my favorite things.

  1. Grand Marais has the lowest point in Minnesota, i.e., Lake Superior (at 600 feet above sea level) and the highest point, Eagle Mountain (2,301). They’re 15 miles apart.
  2. And Grand Marais has five(!) growing zones: 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b, and 4a.
