What to do when Hawaii hands you a thunderstorm? Just pull down the sunshade, move the table back a little, and enjoy your dinner on the lanai!
Delightful Hula Grill lunch date today with our MN condo neighbors, sisters Mary Ann and Mary Therese. They’re just down the road at the Westin—the same place my brother Richard has his time-share. They are two lovely spirits and it was great fun to see them. And we shared the Hula Pie (which even has a plate named after it!).
Thursday nights are Pupu Nights at Hoyochi Nikko, a tradition that includes the guests, owners, and property managers. An hour before sunset, everyone gathers with their own drinks and brings something to share. We knew several of the people tonight; a couple we’ve known for years.
What fun! Bev, Dorothea and I shared the Hula pie when we went out for a girls day. That dessert is massive and so yummy! It is great to see Don and Jane as well as that other really nice couple…..I can’t recall their names, but I belIeve they were also from Minnesota. The gal with the white jacket on. Say hi to them all from Iain and I.
