Yesterday at Aloha Mixed plate we had a delicious side order of the house made spamp musubi. Richard’s always game for a food adventure so I wish he had been with us.

For those who don’t know, Spam is made in Austin Minnesota at the Hormel plant, yet Hawaiians eat more Spam than anyone else. Musubi, a popular snack sold even at convenience stores, is cooked Spam on top of rice and wrapped in nori.

I’d like to try a side-by-side comparison (but Karen says, I’m on my own here ‘cause there’s no contest) of Aloha Mixed Plate’s spamp next to Hormel’s Minnesota-made, Spam.
