Mama’s Fish House is a Valentine’s Day tradition for Karen and me, and this year the whole gang wanted to celebrate too! Even though the weather was cold and rainy so we couldn’t enjoy the beautiful grounds, inside, among gorgeous flowers, we had fabulous food (best fish anywhere) and drinks.
Mama’s surrounds you with eclectic, colorful, bountiful beauty. I even love the tablecloth (which was the art at the top of my facebook page for a while). In addition to all of our fish dishes, we shared a serving of poi with traditional sides.
Our last venture of the day was a tour of Hawaiian Sea Spirits Organic Farm and Distillery that makes Ocean Organic Vodka and Kula Rum. I was especially intrigued with all the steps they go through to ensure their products are organic, including getting their water from very deep in the ocean, to growing the sugar cane on previous chemical-free cattle grazing land.
